**I KNOW! IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE SOMEONE GAVE UP ON HER IN THE FIRST PLACE!!**
Photographer to Zuri - "tilt you head right sweetie"
"Now tilt your head left"
"Now, look straight at me"
Good Girl!
Zuri's (means "beautiful" in Swahili) is a purebred German shepherd dog. Her approximate date of birth is April 2009. She is a super gentle, sweet natured girl. She is a bit timid in her new foster home but responds with a cute wagging tail when you approach her. She goes in her crate and stays there contently until asked to come out. She needs work walking on a loose leash but if you have treats she focuses better on the handler. She sits when commanded with a treat and downs as well. Zuri will be spayed soon and is heartworm negative, micro chipped and up-to-date on shots.
More about Zuri from volunteer: when she comes up to you she will lean her whole body against your legs and just love all the attention you give her. She spent quite a while playing with the other dogs in the yard. She couldn't get enough! Even if the other dogs didn't want to play, she still tried her best! She definitely gets along with other dogs! Not a mean bone in her body! She's absolutely beautiful!
More about Zuri from her current volunteer: Mollie, Banjo and Zuri are all sleepy now after playing in the yard together! I'd love for people to see how fast and beautiful she is when she plays! When she first got here she chased Banjo around the yard about 10 times! She's just a happy, playful little girl!
As stated in the heading ~ Zuri has been adopted!!! Yippeee!
