Adopted Matilda Update

From our adopters:

We just went and saw the specialist at CTVSH and it was great news. He said it's the first time in 22 years he's seen such a turn around case with an infected + broken elbow. He said she was in very serious danger of losing her leg with the infection when he first saw her and showed me pre and post xrays which look like night and day. He said she should be able to use her leg without surgery and thinks she is actually around 8.5 months old now based on bone growth and teeth.
She may end up with arthritis or pain later on in life (no telling when that will start) but for now, she's in the best shape possible given her previous circumstances. He said she is doing far better than he could have hoped for. Woohoo!
He mentioned how she did not look like she was in good shape when Bev brought her in the first time, but seeing her improve at every visit was amazing to see.

More Adopter Updates

All:

Moses and Baxter continue to keep us entertained. They are a constant joy, we feel so privileged to have them. Here are some recent photos taken since Baxter joined us.

Thanks to all,
~Adopters

Serena & Marco

The dogs are really well and healthy. I am attaching some photos taken at the lake last month. We really have a great time together, and I am so happy with both of them. They add a dimension to my life that I otherwise would not have known.

From Taiko's (Kaiser) Adopters

Just wanted to give you a short update on Kaiser, It has been over a year now and he is now what we call a teenager. He is smart, funny and loving. We had to get him another sibling he was just too playful for our Shiloh he was driving Caesar crazy. We received a German shepherd from our daughter and her name is Freya. Between the two of them there is never a dull moment they chase each other around the 2 acres of property that we have fenced they love to go riding in the truck in the camper shell (safety) and they both try to push the other aside when it time to play on the floor at the end of the day with me.

Because of the hot summer and lack of water in our lake we didn’t get to the boat that often last year however I’m just dying to get the two out swimming. I have attached our family Christmas picture to show you how good looking he has grown to be. The Shiloh is white, Kaiser is brown and black and Freya is more back and smaller.

Again thanks for the precious gift that you gave us and for all that you do.

Midnight Is A Hoarder

You won't see her on the cable show Hoarders, but read on from her adopters....

Midnight's personality is starting to really come out! She has some very cute quarks. She hoards toys! All toys...dog toys, cat toys. She grabs what's lying around and puts them on her bed. If you move them she will eventually put them back. It is funny to watch her grab a cat toy and put it on her bed, once she leaves my cats will sneak up and take it back. Midnight will then see the cat toy out and put it back on the bed. This cycle went on for hours last night!
Midnight will kind of fetch. She will now run after a thrown toy but take it to one of her beds. It really is a joy to have her in our home. I can see that she has some very happy moments and I am sure as time goes on she will be more comfortable and open to happiness on a regular basis.
