My Best Friend Rowe-Quinn's Birthday Today!!

Rowe-Quinn was adopted by me, his foster mom, about 4 years ago. He first came into my home as a 4 month old. He never (and I mean never) relieved himself in the house, he was a terrific puppysitter for foster puppies as they came and went, and has been an all around wonderful friend! So, I celebrate his life with mine today!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROWE-QUINN, YOU GORGEOUS HUNK OF A MUTT!

Meet Frankie & Greta - Bonded Pair Must Be Adopted Together!

What a wonderful bonded pair; Frankie (male) is purebred German shepherd dog, & Greta (female) is a German shepherd mix. Both are 9 years old. These two are as sweet as any dog could be. Wonderful, loving and gentle. Must stay together, so bonded they cry if one is not there and don't want to let each other out of sight.

Frankie is huge, and beautiful, he is a striking boy he loves toys, especially soft squeeky toys. Greta is so loving and sweet she breaks your heart.
They were left on the side of the road with a bag of dog food, they were loved, well cared for (until they were dumped) and microchipped, but we have not been able to trace the chip. They are heartworm negative.

Frankie and Greta are so sweet. They love each other so much and always want to be close. They will lean on your legs when you pet them! Greta loves tummy rubs, and rolls all the way on her back for them! Frankie is curious about the outside world, and would probably love to go for little walks! They are both 100+ pounds, but are so gentle and sweet. They definitely fit into the "Gentle Giants" category! They are truly wonderful dogs with plenty of love left to give!

More From Hana (Ebony)

With a full week of fairly constant rain...
cabin fever enveloped us all by Wednesday.
The pups faired well with lots of naps in the cozy warmth of the living room while I struggled with Physics II homework problems just a few feet away. I dubbed them both "the nap masters" because they made it look so easy and enjoyable.

Hana has mastered the "shake" with both her right and left front paw.

She and I also took advantage of a break in the rain on Friday afternoon and went on a bike/walk. She took to me being on the bike quickly and ran alongside of me at a fast clip. It was really fun! Chase was happy to join us on a more normal paced walk after the bike was put up and us girls were worn out.
I was gifted with a very cute discovery upon my completion of putting up this weeks groceries just a bit ago. One of Elka's favorite things in the kitchen, besides fallen food, was the paper towel roll. She would entertain herself, fetch and pounce around like a puppy until it was completely destroyed. It seems that Hana has a similar affinity for the very same thing. (It reminded me of being a kiddo and basking in the joyous glory of the big cardboard box that the overpriced toy, or large appliance, had come packaged in.) Chase, being old enough to know better, happily watched Hana make a fool of herself while snacking on a nice rawhide grandma gave him for Christmas.

All-in-all, a great week and relaxing weekend was had by all...life is good. [The Adoptive Family]
