Our Little Autumn's New Name Is Smokey

Smokey was checked out by the vet and he said she is very healthy and looks great other than URI.  Her new mom says she has had no accidents in the house, sits when told and now pottys when told outside.

She is a huge hit with all the kids in the neighborhood and enjoying more attention and loving than any dog could want. They had been concerned because one ear wasn't up and I assured them it would go up and that didn't take long.  She went home Sunday and the ear is up already.  She is a great pup and in a home where she is appreciated and loved.

Kaiser (Taiko) Takes A Boat Ride & Gets His Feet Really Wet

Just wanted to share these pictures with you, this weekend was our first trip on the boat with Kaiser he really enjoyed himself.

Along with the trip to the lake and boating he had his first swimming lesson.

Caesar jumped in first and showed him how it was done. However staying true to the water baby he is it was no time that he was swimming he loves the water. We are the luckiest family to have him join our family thanks for what you and your organization accomplish.

Koa (Kannon) Adoption Update

We felt it was time to genuinely say thank you to all that you did to help us find the two newest members of our family. As you know we recently adopted Koa (Kannon) and Hula (Salsa).

It has been over a month and we wanted to give you an update on how they are doing. It took Koa about ten minutes to feel comfortable in our house. It helped that Hula (his buddy) was there too. Koa and Hula play all day long. It is a fun thing to watch and be a part of. They both go to the park at least once a day for training and fetch. Kim takes them for some short runs. Hula isn't quite ready for long distances. But they sure have fun. Koa behaves. And Hula behaves because Koa behaves and we are just so happy to have them in our house. They do well with grandmas, grandpas and small kids. The only problem is Koa is a bit curious of our cat. (scared). Our cat can be a bit territorial.

About once a week they play with other dogs in the neighborhood or at the very least go to petsmart to smell all the animals and treats! Here are some photos. Please feel free to share our forever family story. Thank you again as these two precious puppies have totally rounded out our family.

Sincerely, Kim, Todd, Caleb, Koa, Hula, and Monkey (the cat)

!October's Rescue Dog Of The Month! *Molly*

Little Miss Molly has been in our care for about a month now. She is about 5-6 months old. She had a rough start to her life. She suffered some burns to her back, but they are all healed.

Molly is a big dog in a little dogs body. She is very spunky and has such a big dog bark. She gets along well with other dogs, is curious about cats, but ignores them, loves children. Molly is full of kisses, walks well on a leash, does well in a crate and is house broken too.

If a dog could have a sense of humor, she would definately have one. When she is being scolded for something puppyish, she will wag her tail and almost has a smile. You can't stay mad at her. She is such a cuddler. She loves to sit in your lap or quietly chew on a bone. She likes to lay her head on your pillow at night.

Molly will never be a big dog. She will probably only be about 15-20 pounds at the most.

I know that most people who come to our web site are looking for a big dog.. She is a big dog in a small body. She has a heart big enough to love you like a big dog. She is brave and loyal like a big dog. If you cant tell, we are very fond of this funny little gal and want her to find her forever home where she will be loved.
